THE

BLACK HISTORY

PODCAST

There is a great deal of Black American / African history that has been skipped, omitted, or untold through the course of time. The African diaspora is a rich tapestry weaving through the course of time, with not only a strong impact on the American society, but throughout the world. From the time of the Greeks venturing into African and being taught astronomy, mathematics, etc; to Marcus Garvey teaching and espousing a strong black community; to Fanz Fanon writing legends and stories of the African post-colonial critical theory, etc; there is an entire class and grouping of history that has been removed from the thoughts, minds and hearts of much of the country. In the same way that How Stuff Works has ventured to inform the everyday listener of “Stuff You Missed in History Class” and “Stuff You Should Know”; The “Black History” Podcast ventures to each week introduce an innovative topic, influential person or present interesting aspects of history related to the African diaspora to those seeking knowledge and enlightenment.
